Organic Cotton Scarf with Natural Dye

This fresh-looking scarf in pastel tones was hand-woven with handspun organic cotton in natural cream and in several naturally dyed colors including indigo blue, green and yellow. It has an asymmetric stripes pattern and is finished with tassles. Perfect for women and men alike!

The width of this piece allows it to be worn as a scarf wrapped around the neck or as a shawl over the shoulders.

This piece was designed by Geeta Patil and produced in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, in the context of the Gudi Mudi Khadi Project from WomenWeave. Gudi Mudi means "scrunched" in the local language, a perfect word to describe the attractive natural look and texture of the textiles produced from this project. The Gudi Mudi Project skills highly marginalized women in the spinning and weaving of locally grown cotton.
