Organic Cotton Scarf with Natural Dye

65.00 CHF

This beautiful scarf was hand-woven with handspun organic cotton in cream and indigo blue, creating a delicate small check pattern. The long edges and the zari band include jari - metallic thread - for an extra luminous touch. The hem is finished with knotted fringes. Perfect for women and men alike!

The width of this piece allows it to be worn as a scarf wrapped around the neck or as a shawl over the shoulders and arms.

This piece was designed by Neha Lad and produced in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, in the context of the Gudi Mudi Khadi Project from WomenWeave. Gudi Mudi means "scrunched" in the local language, a perfect word to describe the attractive natural look and texture of the textiles produced from this project. The Gudi Mudi Project skills highly marginalized women in the spinning and weaving of locally grown cotton.
